ReplyDeleteI'm not going to sit here and lie and say that after reading the first book, i was scrambling around trying to get my hands on the second. But after sitting down and really reflecting, I've never had any book make me feel so many emotions all at once. I was disgusted, angry, sad and confused among other things. I've never had a book that put me right into the middle of it and wrapped me round so tight. But then i got chance to read the summary for the second book and I read that Claire might actually have a chance and Tony might be taken down. At that moment I think my inner self did a little happy dance. So i started to read the second book and just as the first it brought me right back into the thick the things. But this time around it made me see the situation and characters in a whole new light. Now after finishing the second book, I'm not so patiently wanting for the third book because i NEED to know what happens lol
Aleatha's books remind me of a NYC taxi driver. You think everything is safe and your going to be taking a right turn and then BAM; your flying over 4 lanes to make a left hand turn.

DeleteI love thrillers that are full of suspense, twisted and unpredictable. The darker the better. I want to get inside the characters' minds and be totally amazed. Now that is one of the few reasons the books have caught my attention.
